film: Annie Hall

Jean Paul Belmondo

Recently, I was reminded of a certain scent-- of cigarette smoke lingering in the fabric of an old Harris Tweed coat.

Not your "last call... where was I, who are you" kind of smoke'd redolence; rather, I described the scent as "cigarettes, but think Jean Paul Belmondo and Galouises."

JP Belmondo... that broken aquiline silhouette, mashed smile, and effortless mien. Where are the movie stars of today? Who are you?

*gasp* Take Ivy, reprinted

this is big. Major.

Take Ivy, the influential Japanese book of American collegiate fashion from the 1960s, will be reprinted this August.

Copies of this book have been traded like religious scrolls for those in the trad set. Personally, most of my aesthetic seems to have been in parallel amber from this era, but a copy of the book was out of the question.

Not anymore!

Corter Leather

locavores take note....

Well, how 'bout shopping locally for clothing! Ok, I'm not sure if the hides are sourced within a short radius from Boston, but I do know that the young man behind this one-man-show makes everything in his apartment.

AND they look cool as hell. What's not to like?
