icons

It seems impossible to imagine the circumstances of this day. One wonders at the man in the photograph, what are in his bags, was he a part of the demonstration, what happened after these famous images. Unfortunately, what we know is most likely the answer to the last question only.

so, the weather's gettin warmer, and I am admittedly bike-crazy. Here's one that might be more realistic than the other recent obsessions.
Trek, I love you. Always have. Sure, the exotics get more press, but a belt drive commuter? egads. Me love long time. This looks like a post-tax paying personal gift. But maybe I could write it off, too.... hmmmmmm.

painting: Ben Johnson

The first painting of Ben's I ever saw now hangs in my house. It is still as amazing to me as the first time I ever saw it. There was a time I almost didn't own it, but that was all in the past.

His newest paintings are at the Artist's House Gallery in Philadelphia; I can't say enough about this man's work-- not to mention that he is a great person as well. I wish him all the best!

(I also wish to own this painting)
